Spring Beehive Management: Splits & Swarm Recoveries

Calling all beekeepers who are looking to manage their beehive(s) this Spring.  Tara and Jeff Hahn of Hahn's Honeybee Haven will be teaching this hands-on class and covering the topics of:  

• Spring hive inspections and mite counts
• Spring treatment options
• Identifying when your colony is ready to split, signs and symptoms
• Proper splitting procedures to ensure the strength and health of both colonies
• Swarm recovery techniques

This will be a classroom only class, no equipment or ppe needed. The teachers will showcase a hive in-class for demonstration. Please bring a notepad and pen to take notes.
